Rosehip seed oil

Product Description

Cold-pressed rosehip seed oil from Switzerland

Rosehip oil is characterized by its yellow to orange-red color and is known for its high nutritional value, which is primarily due to the raw material. If you are looking for high-quality, cold-pressed rosehip seed oil – for cooking or skincare – you've come to the right place.

Popular in skincare

As delicious as rosehip seed oil is, it is primarily known in the field of skincare. Because it absorbs very quickly, it leaves a pleasant feeling on the skin. Due to its moisturizing, nourishing, and regenerative properties, rosehip seed oil is a popular product for mature, chapped, and dry skin, as well as for problem skin prone to blemishes. If the rosehip seed oil is cold-pressed, its ingredients are particularly rich and therefore also suitable for scar and pigmentation care. Since the fatty acids it contains are very similar to those of our skin, it is quickly absorbed and leaves a velvety feeling.

Tip: Our rosehip seed oil can easily be mixed and combined with apricot kernel oil and almond oil, which are also produced using the cold-pressing method. Or add a few drops to your skin lotion for even more pampering.

A rare guest in the kitchen

Rosehip seed oil has a fruity, slightly tart, and sometimes subtly nutty flavor that lends dishes a unique touch. It pairs particularly well with vegetables, salads, and fish dishes. With its brick-red color, the oil is a real eye-catcher, especially on desserts. As with most of our oils, rosehip seed oil is cold-pressed and should therefore not be heated when used in cooking to preserve its valuable nutrients.

Origin and production

A true powerhouse

This oil is extracted from the fruits of the wild or dog rose, Rosa canina. It earned its name by growing practically everywhere in the wild, exhibiting remarkable resilience, and displaying a strong will to survive. In autumn, the wild rose bears the rose hips from which we extract our rose hip seed oil. These fruits are true powerhouses, valued by both humans and animals.

Why cold-pressed rosehip seed oil is so valuable

We are committed to preserving the valuable nutrients in rosehip seed oil, which is why we process the raw materials, sourced from sustainable, pesticide-free cultivation, exclusively using a cold-pressing method at a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius in our Zurich manufactory. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the rosehips, meaning a considerable quantity is required to produce just one liter of cold-pressed rosehip seed oil.
