Product Description
Rosehip oil is characterized by its yellow to orange-red color and is known for its high nutritional value, which is primarily due to the raw material. If you're looking for high-quality, cold-pressed rosehip seed oil for cooking or skincare, you've come to the right place.
A true powerhouse
This oil is extracted from the fruits of the wild rose, Rosa canina, also known as the dog rose. It earns its name from the fact that it grows wild virtually everywhere, is extremely resilient, and demonstrates a strong will to survive. In autumn, the wild rose bears rosehip fruits, from which we extract our rosehip seed oil. The fruits are veritable powerhouses, valued by humans and animals alike.
Why cold-pressed rosehip seed oil is so valuable
We are committed to preserving the precious ingredients in rosehip seed oil, so we process the raw materials, which come from sustainable cultivation without pesticides, exclusively using a cold-pressing process at a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius in our Zurich factory. The oil is extracted from the rosehip kernels, so a considerable amount is required to produce one liter of cold-pressed rosehip seed oil.
A rare guest in the kitchen
Rosehip seed oil has a fruity, slightly sour, and sometimes subtly nutty flavor that adds a unique touch to dishes. It pairs particularly well with vegetables, salads, and fish dishes. With its brick-red color, the oil is a real eye-catcher, especially on desserts. As with most of our oils, rosehip seed oil is cold-pressed and should therefore not be heated when used in cooking to preserve its valuable ingredients.
Popular in skin care
Rosehip seed oil's delicate taste makes it primarily known in the skincare industry. Because it absorbs quickly, it leaves the skin feeling pleasant. Its moisturizing, nourishing, and regenerative properties make it a popular product for mature, chapped, and dry skin, as well as for problem skin prone to blemishes. When cold-pressed, rosehip seed oil contains particularly rich ingredients, making it suitable for scar and pigmentation care. Because the fatty acids it contains are very similar to those found in our skin, it absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a velvety feeling.
Tip: Our rosehip seed oil can be easily mixed and combined with apricot kernel oil and almond oil, which are also produced using the cold-pressing process. Or add a few drops to your skincare lotion for even more pampering.
